The following disclaimer applies to the website www.salonat10newbury.com (the “Site”), operated by The Salon at 10 Newbury, located at 10 Newbury Street, Boston, MA 02116, United States. By accessing or using the Site, you acknowledge and agree to the terms below. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site.
1. General Information Only
The content on this Site — including text, images, service descriptions, blog articles, FAQ entries, and chat responses — is provided for general informational purposes only. While we make every reasonable effort to keep the content accurate and up to date, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability of any information, products, services, or related graphics contained on the Site. Any reliance you place on such
information is strictly at your own risk.
2. No Professional, Medical, or Dermatological Advice
The Salon at 10 Newbury provides cosmetology services, including hair cutting, coloring, styling, treatments, and hair-replacement solutions. Nothing on this Site
constitutes medical, dermatological, trichological, oncological, or psychological advice. Information provided in our blog, FAQs, consultation forms, or chat
features is not a substitute for professional medical care.
If you are experiencing hair loss, scalp irritation, allergic reactions, or any medical condition affecting your hair or scalp, please consult a licensed physician, dermatologist,
or other qualified healthcare provider. Always seek the advice of your physician before beginning any new hair-care regimen, product use, or treatment, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, undergoing chemotherapy or radiation, or managing a chronic condition such as alopecia, lupus, or thyroid disease.
3. Hair, Styling & Color Results
Individual results from any salon service — including cuts, color, highlights, balayage, chemical treatments, keratin services, extensions, and styling — vary significantly from
person to person. Outcomes depend on factors including but not limited to: hair texture, porosity, previous chemical history, scalp condition, product compatibility, lifestyle, home maintenance, and lighting conditions in photography.
Color matching, formulation, and finishing techniques are performed to the best
professional standard of our licensed stylists. However, due to the chemical and biological
variability of human hair, no specific result is guaranteed.
4. Wigs, Toppers & Hair Replacement
The Salon at 10 Newbury offers wigs, hair toppers, and hair-replacement systems to clients experiencing hair thinning or loss for medical, genetic, or personal reasons. Our
hair-replacement consultations and fittings are cosmetic services. They are not medical devices, do not diagnose or treat any medical condition, and are not a substitute for
medical evaluation of the underlying cause of hair loss.
Wig fit, comfort, longevity, and natural appearance depend on individual scalp sensitivity, fitting accuracy, daily wear habits, and aftercare. We will provide care
guidance, but long-term results are influenced by factors outside our control. Custom wigs and made-to-order pieces are non-returnable once production has begun unless otherwise specified in your written service agreement.
5. Allergens, Patch Tests & Sensitivities
Salon services may involve products containing potential allergens or irritants, including but not limited to: para-phenylenediamine (PPD) and other oxidative dye components, ammonia, peroxide, fragrances, preservatives, latex, and adhesives used in hair-replacement systems.
Clients are responsible for disclosing all known allergies, sensitivities, and medical conditions at consultation and prior to each service. We strongly recommend
a 48-hour patch test before any color service, particularly for first-time color clients, clients returning after a break of six months or more, clients who have undergone chemical, medical, or hormonal changes, and clients with a history of skin sensitivity.
The Salon at 10 Newbury is not liable for reactions arising from undisclosed allergies,
refusal of a recommended patch test, or use of at-home products in conjunction with salon
services without prior consultation.
6. Photography, Portfolio & Before/After Imagery
Photographs displayed on the Site, on our social media channels, and in printed materials are illustrative examples of services we have performed. They are not guarantees that the same result is achievable for every client. Lighting, post-processing, hair density, starting condition, and length all influence final appearance.
All clients depicted in photography have provided their consent. Photographs remain the property of The Salon at 10 Newbury and may not be reproduced without prior written permission. If you are a client and wish to have your image removed, please contact us using the details below.
7. Pricing, Availability & Consultations
Service prices listed on the Site are provided as a general guide and may change without notice. Final pricing is determined at consultation and depends on factors including hair length, density, condition, complexity of color formulation, and product usage.
Online consultation request forms do not constitute confirmed appointments. An appointment is confirmed only after we contact you directly by phone, text, or email.
Availability is subject to change.
8. External Links
The Site may contain links to third-party websites and services, including but not limited to social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter / X, Yelp), online
review platforms, scheduling tools, payment processors, and product manufacturers. These links are provided for convenience only.

9. AI-Assisted Content & Chat Features
Portions of this Site may use artificial-intelligence tools to draft content, answer common questions, or assist with consultation intake. AI-generated responses are intended to
provide general guidance only and may contain inaccuracies or be out of date. AI responses do not constitute professional advice and should not replace direct consultation with our licensed stylists.
