When they are going through hair loss from cancer treatments, not only are they losing hair, but they feel like they are losing their identity. Wigs and hairpieces are a great solution for them but can sometimes be unaffordable to them or their health insurance provider. That is why here at The Salon at 10 Newbury, we offer patients dealing with hair loss from cancer treatments have the opportunity to have a beautiful hairpiece or wig at no cost to them. We are able to do so because of our non-profit organization, Wigs For Well-Being
Wigs For Well-Being was founded over five years ago by our owner and hair replacement specialist, Patricia Wrixon. Since it has been founded, a few of Boston’s hospitals has utilized our resources and foundation for their adolescent patients who are going through hair loss due to cancer treatment.
