Patricia A. Wrixon is founder of The Salon at 10 Newbury, a business specializing in several distinct segments in the beauty and hair industry since 1995. In her 25 years of experience in the hair replacement industry, Ms. Wrixon has built The Salon at 10 Newbury street into one of the most prestigious and highly respected salons and hair replacement centers in New England.
In conjunction with growing her business, Ms. Wrixon has performed considerable volunteer work in the community. She has volunteered with the American Cancer Society on their “Look Good – Feel Better” program, the Friend’s Boutique at Dana Farber, and the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition. Ms. Wrixon has lectured extensively to diverse groups such as the American Hair Loss Council, various civic, social and medical groups, as well as, to students of beauty academies throughout the greater Boston area.
In addition to her business and volunteer work, Ms. Wrixon started her non-profit organization, Wigs for Well-Being, to provide wigs to women and children who are experiencing hair loss from cancer treatments and do not have the funds or insurance to purchase a wig.
