"A few days ago I went and got my haircut by Elie, and it is one of the best haircuts in my life. I am trying to grow my hair out from a super-short boy cut I got a few months ago, and I've been unhappy with the awkward transition length for weeks now. Elie TRANSFORMED it, preserving the length but giving me a great shape that looks fantastic -I've washed my hair and re-styled it three times now and it always looks great!

He also cut and styled my friends really long, frizzy hair into a beautiful loose-wave Gisele-like miracle. Not to mention he's adorable and super friendly and sweet. I don't think I'll ever go back to another salon!"

"One word...Dailin! Dailin is everything you could ask for in a hair stylist all rolled into one. I have to admit I was nervous the first time I walked into the salon to see a curly haired stylist walking my way. I thought she wouldn't understand my pin-straight, fine, thin hair. Was I wrong. Dailin understood exactly what would and wouldn't work for my hair, and even talked me OUT of bangs (thankkkk you Dailin) because she didn't think they would flatter the shape of my face. I actually went with highlights (which I always hated in my hair) after she explained that they would give the illusion or more body and dimension and she reassured me that we would stick to "cool" colors because of my skin tone. What a difference it made! Also the layers she cut have made my hair do things they could never do before. I wouldn't go anywhere else!

A note about the salon in general:  I like the little touch of water with fresh lemons, coffee, and even wine for a evening appt before a night on the town!"

"Wow, I came here to shine a spotlight on Kristine M. (with the tattoos), and I learn she's already a superstar! I've been going to her for about 8 years -- following her from salon to salon up and down Newbury Street -- and she's never let me down. Not only does she give me really great haircuts, she cracks me up with stories about her love life and party antics. She knows about all of the boyfriends I've had since I met her, and even remembers the details!

I color my hair myself and she's never made me feel bad about it...in fact she often comments on how much she likes the color! I did have her do my color recently and though I did really like it, I just can't spend that much on my hair, so back to the box for me. My BFF also started going to her recently and loves her, her cuts, and her color.

I'm sure to Kristine I'm just another loyal customer, but to me she's like a good girlfriend, and I look forward to seeing her every 6-8 weeks!"

"This salon is AMAZING.

They really make you feel good from the moment you walk inside. There's an adorable little lounge area with complimentary Espresso, Tea, etc.. all the good stuff.

I'm usually not a huge patron of pricey, upscale salons, but for waxing I throw a few extra dollars in for it so I know its done well and done right.  Arwin is a fabulous waxer, I've gone to her for my eyebrows, legs and bikini and I've never left unhappy. She makes you feel really comfortable and makes conversation through your entire waxing, but she skips the awkward small talk when you first arrive, getting right to the point and getting you on the table!

I've also gotten a haircut with Christopher before and he's just as wonderful! Unfortunately, my life doesn't give me too many chances to afford his haircuts, so sadly, I've only gotten one. He's really talented with what he does, so pay him a visit if you ever come to the salon!

I give it four stars only because I can't really afford this place, and that's a shame!"

"I heart Arwen.

She is a waxing machine. I don't know what kind of magical wax she uses or if she is a witch or something, but I swear to God, her brazilians are practically painless.

I hate it when you go in to get a Brazilian somewhere and the aesthetician seems annoyed that she has to be so up-close and personal with your nether-regions. It's like... does this really bother you? If so, perhaps you chose the wrong profession? Maybe hair-removal isn't the career for you? Anyway, Arwen is not all like this at all. She is efficient and professional and not afraid getting up in there and plucking every last hair if she has to!!

She is also just a cool person in general. She has a way of putting people at ease... even while hovering over you with a vat of hot wax.

I highly recommend Arwen for any hair removal needs!"

"I tried out this salon last month and was just getting a mens haircut.  I really liked my experience.  I was immediately greeted at the desk where someone took my jacket and was offered a warm drink! It seemed busy but Kimberly my stylist came and talked to me about what kind of style I was looking for.  I was given a relaxing shampoo by one of their staff and was in Kimberlys chair on schedule.  When Im getting my haircut I really appreciate when a stylist pays attention to detail and is focused and Kimberly was definetly someone I would come back to time and time again.  I was very impressed with the outcome and would not hesitate to recommend her to my friends!"

Katie always does an amazing job on my hair (I don't want to tell you how many stylists I've been through in the past ten years here) and while it can be expensive, its WORTH it. Everyone at the salon is very nice and attentive and they always seem to have the perfect appointment for me. "Love love love Arwyn and Richard.  Arwyn is an extremely skilled waxing professional and Richard gives a great haircut (he was recommended by Arwyn - who happens to also have great hair).  My sister and I try to go to see Arwyn together because she is not only terrific at brow and bikini waxes, but she is a lot of fun.  Whether its your first wax or your fiftieth, she helps you relax and get ready to feel pretty.  Richard dealt with my post-partum hair wonderfully (giving me a pretty and sexy "mommy" haircut that is glam and low maintenance).  I've not gone to Sandy - another stylist at the salon - but she is also a very talented doer of hair.  She threw some product in my hair when I was waiting for Arwyn - I ended up having a wildly complimentary day on my hair."
